Thanks to bleeding espresso I decided to write more about myself. She listed 100 things to know about her and shared it with others. What a wonderful idea. It would be nice to know bloggers better, it would also make the blogs more enjoyable to read.
So, here they come … 50 things to know about me, or less – I might not make it to 100, so wont even try :
- I am a chinese girl who lives in Medan
- I am 31 years old
- Will try my best to age gracefully
- I got married when I was 29
- My husband is Irish – American
- I work twice as hard because east meets west is never a simple union
- He works for humanitarian organisations so he travels a lot
- Whenever he leaves, I take up new hobbies
- Blogging is my newest one *crossing fingers – hoping this one lasts*
- I have a degree in banking and finance, with licenses for stockbroker, underwriter and fund manager, but …
- I work at a bakery – which I co-own with a couple of others
- I am a baker who doesn’t bake – at all
- Nevertheless, I will survive
- My parents fight all the time, but still stay together
- I am very close to my parents – don’t know what I would do without them
- I have two siblings
- I don’t cook – I am trying to learn as part of my attempt to fulfil my role as a wife
- My husband is a great cook – thank God for that
- I am very forgetful – I don’t think I can recall anything up to two years ago. He calls it selective memory
- That is one of the reason I started this blog
- Goofy is my nickname from my husband – because I am really goofy and flaky
- I love my family
- That is the reason why I still stay in this city
- One day I would like to move and start a completely new life – hey, I only live once
- I wish I still keep in touch with people who had helped me in the past
- I solve problems by crying
- I hate hipocrisy – but in this wretched place, I have no other way but to accept it calmly and never let it ruin my life
- I have a dog, mushu, that I never walk for the past two years *making mental promise to walk him*
- I loved smoking – quitted successfully one year ago
- I am a city girl – I freaked out once when we were travelling to remote areas and lived in a wooden hut
- I am very attached to my phone and my computer
- I am on a seefood diet – when I ‘see food’, I eat them (that is my diet, as my husband describes it)
- I had braces when I was 26. After being dumped by a guy and he said my teeth were ugly – harsh, huh
- Love chick flicks!
- I love to read – but always forget what I have read
- I still make mistakes in he and she - English is not my first language
- Gosh, this is hard …
- I love good steak – but I will try to become vegetarian one day
- I am 100% cotton girl – no polyester and lycra, please
- I refuse to accept plastic bags when shopping, which sometimes create scenes when the cashiers keep insisting of giving me one
- I don’t like clowns – they scare the living hell out of me!
- I do judge book from its cover .. yup
- Hmmm … I think I will have to give up at 43 ..
